Configuration

SignalPipe settings for Capital.com are managed from the Settings tab on the SignalPipe page with Capital.com selected as your broker.

API Credentials

SettingDescription
API KeyYour Capital.com API key
EmailYour Capital.com account email
PasswordYour Capital.com API password
Credentials are verified against the Capital.com API during connection by creating a test session. Once verified, all three values are encrypted with AES-256-CBC encryption and stored securely. The raw credentials are never persisted.

Trading Mode

SettingDescriptionDefault
Demo ModeWhen enabled, orders are placed on Capital.com's demo environment (virtual money). When disabled, orders are placed on your live account with real money. On

Important: Your credentials must match the selected mode. Demo credentials will not work in live mode and vice versa. If you switch modes, you may need to generate new API credentials.

Deal Management

SettingDescriptionDefault
Max Active DealsThe maximum number of open deals allowed at any time. When this limit is reached, new buy signals for new instruments are silently skipped. Safety orders for existing deals are always processed regardless of this limit.3
Take-Profit PercentageThe percentage above your average entry price at which take-profit levels are set. For example, 5% means positions auto-close at a 5% profit.5%
Automation EnabledMaster toggle for order execution. When OFF, webhook alerts are still received and logged but no positions are opened on Capital.com.On
Accept New DealsWhen OFF, SignalPipe will only process safety orders and sell signals for existing deals. New buy signals for new instruments are skipped. This is useful when you want to stop opening new deals while still managing your current ones.On

Webhook Configuration

SettingDescription
Webhook URLThe full URL to paste into TradingView's webhook field. This is auto-generated and points to the Capital.com webhook endpoint.
SignalPipe SecretYour unique authentication token. This is embedded in the alert message that TradingView sends with each webhook. Auto-generated on first dashboard load if not already present.
The SignalPipe Secret is shared across all broker connections. If you also have an Alpaca account connected, the same secret is used for both.

How Settings Affect Behavior

Automation Enabled = OFF

Webhooks are received and logged, but no positions are opened. Use this to temporarily pause trading without deleting your TradingView alerts.

Accept New Deals = OFF

Existing deals continue to receive safety orders and can be closed by sell signals. New deals are not opened. Use this when you want to wind down your active deals without opening new ones.

Max Active Deals Reached

When all deal slots are occupied, new buy signals for new instruments are skipped. As soon as an existing deal closes (TP fill or sell signal), the slot becomes available. Safety orders for existing deals are never blocked by this limit.

Demo Mode vs Live Mode

Demo mode uses Capital.com's simulated trading environment. Positions are opened with virtual money and no real funds are at risk. Live mode trades with real money on your Capital.com brokerage account.
